With the release of Windows Vista, Microsoft has added security to files and folders and to edit system file you need to take ownership of files and folders and this security feature is extended to Windows 7 as well. Although you can take ownership of files and folders using the security tab in the properties menu, Ownership Changer is a simple freeware tool which allows you to quickly change the ownership of files and folders and also set permission.
